About
Bassist Sigmar Matthiasson released his third solo album last fall. The album, titled Uneven Equator, is a sort of logical but independent continuation of his last album Meridian Metaphor, where vocals and string instruments enhance the soundscape - modern jazz blends with Eastern world music in an original way. Sigmar's band has performed across the country over the past four years and received the Icelandic Music Awards in 2022 as Artist of the Year (groups) in the Jazz & Blues category. At the concert the band will perform the album Uneven Equator in its entirety alongside some songs from the Meridian Metaphor album. Additionally, it is not excluded that brand new material may be heard.
