Harpa is a cultural centre in the heart of the city. It hosts various events throughout the year, as well as gourmet restaurants and a gift shop.
How to get to Harpa
Harpa is in the city's heart and is hard to miss because of its size and grandeur. It´s within a short walking distance of the capital's main attractions, such as Laugavegur, Austurvöllur, and Hafnartorg.
Biciclyes and e-scooters
We recommend that guests use eco-friendly modes of transport when travelling to and from Harpa. Bicycle stands are located on the east side of the house and in the underground car park. E-scooters can be rented from Hopp or Zolo all over the capital.
Bus routes
Harpa is only a few minutes from Lækjartorg, one of the city's main public transport hubs. In the capital area, most bus routes run every 15 minutes but outside peak hours every 30 minutes. Click for more information on bus arrivals and departures at Harpa. Harpa is also the first stop on the Hop on Hop off bus route.
It only takes about 45 minutes to get from Keflavík Airport to Harpa. The Flybus is a convenient and easy way to travel between the two, but it stops at the BSÍ bus terminal. Click here for information on the airport bus schedule.
Driving
Harpa has a two-storey underground car park that is open 24/7. It is well-lit and provides direct access to the building. The car park has 13 charging points from ON on the second level (K2).
