About
The season opening concert this fall, features bass player
Haraldur Ægir Guðmundsson and his band who will play material from the album
"Tango for One" which was released in December 2023. The band has
performed its blend of bossanova, tango and bolero program widely to good
acclaim. The songs are written by Guðmundsson and are strongly influenced by
Latin music. At this concert Jón Óskar Jónsson will join them on percussion.
The album was recorded and mixed by guitarist Ómar Guðjónsson and mastered by
Ívar "Bongó" Ragnarsson.

Björtuloft is located on the top floors of Harpa, at the very summit of the building, offering spectacular views of the city, the harbour and the mountains. Björtuloft makes an elegant and unusual setting for special gatherings, such as private corporate banquets and meetings. The hall is on two levels with a bar and balconies on the lower level.
