Ös­sur Geirsson - Hon­or­ary Con­cert

On the occasion of Kópavogur's 70th anniversary, the municipality and the honorary artist of Kópavogur, Össur Geirsson, invite you to a concert in the Norðurljós, Sunday, March 16th at 5 pm. There, Össur will conduct the Kópavogur School Concert Band, which consists of 60 instrumentalists aged 13 to 20. The pieces that will be performed are all arranged by Össur. During the concert, Össur will review his 30-year career as an arranger and the ensemble will play selected works from various periods. Össur has arranged, composed and performed over 500 pieces of music during his career and the audience will experience a cross-section of his illustrious career. It can truly be said that Össur is one of the main pillars and influences in the musical life of the people of Kópavogur.
